World History is an introduction to the history of mankind. The course is a two-semester chronological survey of World History that covers everything from the Agricultural Revolution to the Russian Revolution. In order to succeed in the course, it is necessary to put forth your best effort and unlock your curiosity about the past. The course will help you build your reading and writing skills, as well as your ability to analyze conflicting sources of information. These skills will be mastered as you complete history labs, document based writing activities, Socratic seminars, debates and mock trials. This will not look like your typical history course. In this class, you will actually become a working historian. The course will be different from the regular section of World History in that students will be assigned more challenging readings and more rigorous writing assignments.
